Is this you?
Are you feeling like you wish you had more time to spend with the folks you love most?
Do you see social media as a beast you don’t want to tangle with but are aware that you really do need to address it at some point?
I’ve been around the block a time or two in various real estate niches and social media management servicing real estate agents. I kept hearing many of the same social media questions over and over, and hearing many say they felt like social media in their business just wasn’t feasible because of the learning curves and constant changes with each platform, the total confusion about how to build a community, and – believe it or not – some who think social selling is just a fad! Most are seeing the paradigm shift in the way the real estate business is conducted and leads are generated and worrying about what’s next for them.
The majority of my clients were over 45. In fact, most were Baby Boomers. They had business concerns plus a whole new set of concerns on top of GCI, listings, and showings:
- Empty nest
- Just plain tired!
I completely get it. They kept me up at night too.
Coupled with the challenges of getting older, they also had concerns about their businesses. They were feeling like the swift advances in technology were leaving them – and their business – behind! There was no way they could keep up. Now, these were agents who have been around 20 – 30 years. They were watching more tech savvy agents crushing it and felt like they were just plodding along, making more meager money, while these Rockstar Rainmakers were getting great sales. Many were feeling like they missed the boat. Some talked about just giving up.
Are you one of them?
If So, you may be here because:
- You’re probably an agent, and there’s a good chance you’re a Baby Boomer.
- And you may be realizing you can’t do as much as you used to be able to do, or maybe you just don’t WANT to do as much.
- You may see your kids moving out and you may even have an empty nest.
- You might wonder where all the years went and you’re determined that you won’t miss that time with your grandkids.
I get it. I’m right there with you. All of that, coupled with the uncertainty of real estate – especially the last 10 years or so – makes you a bit nervous about the next 20 or 30. Will you be able to keep up with the changes? Will the business all go to the agents who jumped on the social selling bandwagon early?
That’s where I come in! I’m here to show you ways to do social selling WITHOUT sacrificing the time with your family or taxing your brain. Who needs that added stress?
I’ll help you pare down the time it takes to actually be on social media for business so you can focus on what’s more important to you at this stage.
If you look below, you’ll see our categories, as well as in the upper menu. All posts will appear in the main categories, with subcategories to make finding exactly what you need easier!
You’ll find some of the articles in audio form so you can listen on the go, and some will even have a video to walk you step-by-step through any set-up or instructions. We have articles about using social selling in real estate business, as well as time management strategies, positive mental strategies, and even ways to take care of yourself in this different time in your life.
One thing you won’t find here are articles about how to ‘do’ real estate or which CRM to use or even an opinion on Zillow. That’s your business and you already know how to do it. We’re giving you ways to manage the social media side of your business, get more done, and still have time for the things that are most important to you. Another thing you won’t see is the vulgarity that seems to be popular with some websites because that’s something that is important to me.
And, yes, even if you aren’t a Baby Boomer – or even a real estate agent – there is a good chance you’ll find our content useful. No worries! Y’all stick around!
Here’s a little bit more about me, if you’d like to know.
